We are so excited to announce our partnership with PMD Alliance, with the goal of bringing more resources to those dealing with movement disorders. Our shared energy and ability to rapidly mobilize make us two peas in a pod, and we are thrilled about the opportunity to collaborate in the coming years.

I recently had the pleasure of presenting with PMD Alliance about the importance of building a comprehensive Parkinson’s care team.

Many people--if they are lucky--spend much of their lives being cared for a Primary Care Physician and a handful of specialists (e.g., dermatologists, etc.). So, when someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s, the idea of building a comprehensive care team can feel overwhelming. Suddenly, you’re expected to assemble a cadre of specialists, from Movement Disorder neurologists to physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, exercise coaches, and beyond. It’s a confusing, tiring, time-consuming task--and you shouldn’t have to do it alone.
