# Is There a Cure for Parkinson's Disease?

There is no cure for Parkinson’s disease at present, however, there are [ways to delay progression](/content/blog/10-things-to-know-when-diagnosed-with-parkinsons/index.html) and improve symptoms through medication, [exercise](https://www.parkinson.org/blog/awareness/exercise-recommendations) and physical activity, PT/OT/speech therapy, and more.  Researchers are also looking for disease-modifying medications or devices.
